I work for a couple of companies in the bay area that are looking for 
seasoned professionals to build their engineering teams.  I have included

Windows OS Engineer

You will be a member in a small group of engineers developing a critical 
component of the company’s core next generation system software offering.  
You will be responsible for the overall architecture, design approach, 
technical direction, and product direction of key features of the next 
generation infrastructure system software.  This is the central piece of our 
product offering. You will be able to contribute in various areas ranging 
from distilling requirements from various groups, to architecting and 
implementing key components of the system. You will be working on the latest 
technologies like security, Java, server technology, XML, OS kernel, 802.1x, 
MFC, Windows DDK, and Active Directory/LDAP.

All group members are expected to participate in and contribute to all 
phases of the product development cycle, from definition and design through 
implementation, debugging, testing, and early customer support.

Requirements:

· BS/MS degree in computer science or electrical engineering, BS/MS in 
engineering degree with emphasis or strong working knowledge of Computer 
Science. PhD is a definite plus.

· Experience as a lead architect of an enterprise class infrastructure or 
large scale system software with significant architecture, design and 
product development responsibility.

· 8+ years’ designing and implementing large scale software systems on 
Windows OS.

· Must have knowledge of WIN32 API and Windows OS Kernel.

· Knowledge of Windows DDK and device driver development experience is a 
plus.

· Strong OOP (C++ programming) skills required. Excellent Object-oriented 
analysis and design skills plus deep expertise on Windows related system and 
technologies topics.

· Proven record of kernel mode development experience in Windows environment 
and knowledge of kernel debugging techniques and tools required.

· Must be up-to-date on general OS principals in the areas of memory 
management, reentrancy, preemption, dynamic configuration management, 
bootstrapping, TCP/IP, etc.

· Understanding of Windows Registry, I/O and File System, SMB/CIFS, and 
Windows Active Directory is highly desirable.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork orientation.

· Strong customer requirement and product quality awareness.


Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to fill our client's Senior Software 
Engineering role. Our client develops innovative products that add value in 
TCP/IP networks and Storage networks. These products enhance the 
functionality of networked storage systems and network gateways.

Job Requirements:

Hands-on position involving work in all phases of development, including 
requirements, architecture, design, implementation and testing
Proven track record for on-time delivery of high-quality software products
Ability to effectively influence product direction
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-class 
software products
Flexible, team-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Minimum Requirements:

BSCS or MSCS with at least 5 years commercial software engineering 
experience
Strong C++ programming skills
Expert in algorithm design, data structures and multi-threaded programming
Strong problem solving skills
File system protocol (NFS, CIFS, etc.) experience
Familiarity with NAS and/or SAN technologies
Networking protocol (TCP/IP suite) experience
UNIX and Windows development experience
Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills:

Driver/kernel development experience
Distributed systems experience
Network management and troubleshooting skills
