This is an interim release; I'll be away for about a week, and won't be
able to finish testing and fixing until after that. In the meantime,
this is more-or-less workable so I figured I'd float it out there.
Release notes are listed below.

Version 0.9.9b
SUMMARY OF CHANGES:
Added support for URL rewriting based on a context base.
Added per-server authentication caching.
Disabled closing of HTTP connection upon request for authentication.
Added support for pluggable error handlers.
Added support for pluggable logging.
Added ability to specify anonymous credentials.
Added file filter framework.
Updated bundled jCIFS to version 0.9.2.
CHANGE:
Added support for URL rewriting based on a context base.
DETAILS:
This release introduces a "contextBase" parameter, which allows
Davenport to rewrite URLs based on a specified base URL. This allows
for operation in a reverse proxy scenario. Additionally, a
"contextBaseHeader" parameter is provided to allow the base context to
be specified on a per-request basis.
CHANGE:
Added per-server authentication caching.
DETAILS:
Davenport will now store authenticated credentials in the session for
each server. This eliminates several roundtrips and can improve
performance significantly.
CHANGE:
Disabled closing of HTTP connection upon request for authentication.
DETAILS:
Previous versions of Davenport closed the HTTP connection upon sending
the request for authentication to the client. This resulted in
unnecessary network traffic. This version introduces a parameter
("closeOnAuthenticate") which allows configuration of this behavior. By
default, Davenport will no longer close the HTTP connection; if this
introduces incompatibilities with certain clients, this parameter can be
set to "true" to use the previous behavior.
CHANGE:
Added support for pluggable error handlers.
DETAILS:
Davenport now provides a mechanism for installing handlers for errors
presented to the servlet. Default handlers are provided which allow
configurable handling of authentication and IO errors.
CHANGE:
Added support for pluggable logging.
DETAILS:
Davenport now allows for pluggable logging providers, with configurable
severity thresholds. See the "smbdav.Log" class for details.
CHANGE:
Added ability to specify anonymous credentials.
DETAILS:
A parameter ("anonymousCredentials") has been added to specify an
account used for anonymous access to SMB resources. This will be used
in preference to the account specified by the "jcifs.smb.client.*"
settings. This allows the jCIFS account to be used for
preauthentication, while using a different account for anonymous
browsing. In previous versions, the jCIFS account was used for both
purposes.
CHANGE:
Added file filter framework.
DETAILS:
Support was added for filtering resource requests. Extensible filters
based on the jCIFS SmbFileFilter interface can be installed to control
access to resources. Out-of-box filters are provided for filtering
based on the target server and excluding hidden resources from the
result set. Additionally, logical primitive filters are supplied which
can be used to create arbitrarily complex compound filters.
CHANGE:
Updated bundled jCIFS to version 0.9.2.
DETAILS:
jCIFS 0.9.2 includes numerous enhancements over the previous bundled
version (0.7.19). This includes support for SMB preauthentication,
which resolves SMB signing issues with Windows 2003 servers.
