[jcifs] determining the workgroup of a server

I am using jcifs for my file manager, but it has a bug because
I cannot determine the workgroup for a given server.

Is it possible to determine the workgroup of a server?
If yes how?

I have tried this:
new SmbFile("smb://...@server/").getParent();
but it returned smb://
