[jcifs] CIFS implementation in C

If you are looking for Open Source code, look into Apache and Squid.  
They have both done work in this area.  The client side has been
implemented in Mozilla, I believe.  The mechanisms are fairly well
documented, so you could also roll your own.  See the references section
of my book:

If you decide you want to implement your own you'll want to start with the
"SMB Authentication" section in the above, and then look at the
documentation provided by Ronald Tschalär and Eric Glass' documentation
(both on-line).
