[jcifs] unable to fetch workgroups under winxp

So are you running nbtstat on the machine you're runnin jCIFS on? Is the
XP machine 192.168.0.1? Are you running nbtstat on 192.168.0.1 or is that
different machine?

If you want a quick answer, please send me a packet capture of jCIFS
failing to recolve __MSBROWSE__ using netmon or Ethereal.
