Incedentally are you using b9? Getting "stuck" was a symptom of the
ThreadInterruptor BS I had in b6-8 which has been removed. I saw some
pretty wierd stuff from that code and it's exactly the kind
of thing that could cause an issue like you're seeing. See the b9 README.
