I actually got it working using the SmbCrawler example - thanks for
providing those examples!
I was just searching all or the local LAN. All of the machines seem to be
running CIFS services.

jCIFS can list all of the CIFS servers on a local LAN, but if one of those
NT boxes is not running CIFS services, it won't be listed.
Are you searching a local LAN or a set of routed subnets?
