Oh, one more comment about the security issues: Linux distributions (and
other OS vendors) won't include distcc in their distributions unless the
default configuration is secure.
Having distcc included in the base OS makes things more convenient for
users.  So this is in fact a rare case in which making things more secure
actually makes things more convenient.
