[distcc] Warning: failed to distribute

Ya , I have used the –allow option…

Distcc server ip’s  192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2
Distcc Client ip 192.168.1.252


Command executed in distcc server’s
Distccd –allow 192.168.1.0/24

And I have added the distcc server ip’s in 192.168.1.252 (~/.distcc/host   file)

And one more thing, when I try to see it in distcc-gnome(GUI tool) to view the current status, only client machine compiles the code and the distcc server, some times says “Preprocess” and nothing else is displayed.

Will there be any problem because of SELinux in RHEL5.
I have disabled SELinux in distcc client and not sure abt distcc server’s….
When I do nmap for distcc servers…the port is opened for distcc service…

Check server logs.

Didn't you forgot to allow the servers to accept connections from the client's IP address? Security nazis had implemented option name "--allow" and disabled everything by default.

I have installed distcc in all the systems(Host and guest os's)…
2 guests are running with distcc server daemon.
And the host is running in distcc client mode…

When I did compilation for linux kernel, it says me with the following error message…

Warning: failed to distribute, running locally instead

I am able to ping and connect via ssh to those 2 guest OS's….
So which means there is no problem with networking….
I have also configured the hosts(config file for distcc) file for distcc by adding only guest os's IP address

Kindly help me in solving out the problem…
