watching the logs, it seems, that computers switched on and listed in 
distcc_hosts, but which have no distccd running are the problem. Non 
reachable hosts are correctly identified, and the job gets done by localhost.

The jobs of reachable, but now "ready" computers get not exported to localhost 
again.

I'm now using the latest stable version 2-12.
