Your right, sorry.

There is no error message, configure just hangs. Looking at the config.log

configure:5733: checking for working socketpair
configure:5759: i386-redhat-linux-gcc -o conftest -O2 -march=i386 -mcpu=i686
-W -Wall -W -Wimplicit -Wshadow -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align -Wwrite-strings
-Waggregate-return -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs
-DHAVE_CONFIG_H -D_GNU_SOURCE -I./src conftest.c -lpopt -lpopt >&5

Nothing after that.

NOTE: after upgrading to 2.7, things work fine.

What other info should I give, or is the answer just upgrade to 2.7?
