The Apple Mac OS X SMB Client and the Thursby Mac OS 9 SMB Client are completely different. You would be better off getting the Thursby Mac OS X product and testing with it. I believe they still have a demo version that runs on 10.6.x

I believe the Native LAN Manger had the string "DAVE", with the version in it. I don't remember the Native OS but would guess Mac OS 9? If this is the product you are talking about their web site is http://www.thursby.com/
