Some final notes:

I disabled ccache for my diab-builds yesterday.
I got wrong debugging symbols that drove me crazy.
After a clean rebuild without ccache the symbols were fine again.

So inclusion it seems that using diab with ccache (at least in 
combination with cygwin and network shares) is not a good idea nowadays.

I have some other projects on my local hard drive which work fine using 
gcc, g++ and ccache.
