[ccache] Rsyncing the cache, consistent?

How stable would it be to rsync the cache between developer machines, to provide a loosely replicated cache (can't have the constant traffic remote network traffic of a central cache).
 
What rsync flags/behavior would be recommended?  Would this keep the cache consistent, not corrupted?
