Hello.

Just to report back: a couple of moths ago I moved this AD domain from a 
Windows 2012 DC to a Samba 4.17/FreeBSD DC without any trouble.
Demoting the old DC was the biggest issue, as, being an Essential 
edition, it would not cope.
Everything is working fine now.
