Hi,
I am trying to create a reverse zone. (On the same DC). Debian 12, 4.17.10. This is a test lab.
samba-tool dns zonecreate 192.168.0.2 0.168.192.in-addr.arpa -U MAD\Administrator
But i get this error:
samba-tool dns zonecreate 192.168.0.2 0.168.192.in-addr.arpa -U MAD\Administrator
Password for [MAD\MADAdministrator]:
Failed to bind to uuid 50abc2a4-574d-40b3-9d66-ee4fd5fba076 for ncacn_ip_tcp:192.168.169.101[49153,sign,abstract_syntax=50abc2a4-574d-40b3-9d66-ee4fd5fba076/0x00000005,localaddress=192.168.169.102] NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE
ERROR: Connecting to DNS RPC server 192.168.169.101 failed with (3221225581, 'The attempted logon is invalid. This is either due to a bad username or authentication information.')
Password is correct. Kinit Administrator works fine.
I can create the zone no problem using DNS from RSAT. I can also create PTR records. Once I created the reverse zone with RSAT I can’t use samba-tool to create new records, same error as trying to create the zone.
What am I missing ?
