If you speak about Samba file server :
At your place I would start asking myself what kind of mapping was in use.

If it is idmap-rid (idmap config SAMDOM : backend = rid) then you should
not have issue as long as you keep same range for that ((idmap config
SAMDOM :range)

If you use RFC2307 to store UID and GID in AD, no problem too. UID and GID
will be regenerated from stable values.

If your UID/GID were randomly generated here you will have to find a way to
migrateUID and GID from old Samba conf to the new one.

If you speak about Samba AD DC I'm not sure it is relevant to restore that
file content... Someone would know better than me on that subject I expect
