Hi,
I simply saved the script to a .vbs file, and double clicked it to run
it. It shows the DC's it finds, and you type the name of the dc you want
to remove.
Then it works a bit, and that's all there is.
I confirmed it, by dumping our entire database to an ldif, and comparing
the before and after ldif:
ldbsearch --url=/var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb >
/root/samba4/samba4(-before/after).ldif
All references to the DC have been erased, except for the
"msSFU30MasterServerName". You have to edit that yourself.
Plus: it does not take care of the dns entries, but those can be easily
removed using the microsoft activce directory dns management console
tool. (or whatever it's name is)
That's all there was to it.
Does this answer your questions..?
