Hello Kai and thanks very much for your reply.
I don't know much about mount.cifs but read the man page and tried the
following:
lba at kinda ~ $ mount.cifs \\winpro\c /mnt/winpro
mount error: improperly formatted UNC name. \winproc does not begin with
\\ or //
No ip address specified and hostname not found
I'm basically trying to mount winpro at c:\ to the mount point /mnt/winpro.
