Ok, I've made progress on my problems from earlier today, but have
one final sticking point that's gumming up the works. On a WindowsXP
box, I can access shares via \\server\sharename just fine. But if I
do "net use L: \\server\sharename", I get "System error 67 has
occurred. The network name cannot be found."
Any suggestions on where to check will be appreciated. It's a fairly
complex setup (I'm just a consultant coming in to try to get things
working), and I think I've tracked down all the rogue "local masters"
and winbind processes. The XP box sits on two networks (192.168.1.0
and 192.168.2.0), though I've gone into the network advanced settings
and disabled the Microsoft clients on the .2.0 network interface.
So the status is - can start-run and get to the shares, can't net use
them.
Thanks,
Wade
