Samba, PAM and Netware question

I am currently running Samba 2.0.3 on my RedHat 5.2 linux box. I have
some services (such as login, ftpd) set up to authenticate via our
Netware server. How can I do this with Samba? I've tried placing the
same line in /etc/pam.d/samba as I have in the login and ftp files of the
same directory but, as far as i can tell, Samba doesn't even try to use
the Pam module to authenticate users. Btw, the module I am attempting to
use is the Netware authentication module by David Airlie. Is there
something special I have to do to make Samba try and use PAM to
authenticate? I installed the samba rpm which, I thought, was compiled
to use PAM by default. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance. Jeff
