Automatic mapping of home drive for Windows NT

Does anyone know how to stop the automatic mapping of the homes directory
under drive z: in windows NT?
I don't want to remove the homes statement because I use profiles but I also
want my windows NT boxes to use a directory on another server as thei home
directory.
The same goes for my win9x boxes, the only thing is that win9x does not
automatically map the homes directory.

I use samba 2.0.6
