There is a start towards this in
patches/granig_distcc_multi-A-record.diff, though I don't know if that
will handle ssh or ipv6 properly.  (Does anyone use ipv6?)

On the whole I think it'd be good to do this; I'd like to hear test
results from people with lots of machines.
