Thanks for that information. I would like to ask for further details on the [MS-PAR]  RpcAsyncInstallPrinterDriverFromPackage method, especially the conditions that lead to this ERROR_UNKNOWN_PRINTER_DRIVER. I am writing code that copies driiver files to the Windows Server 2016 print$ share, calling RpcAsyncUploadPrinterDriverPackage then RpcAsyncInstallPrinterDriverFromPackage but I continue to see this HRESULT 0x80070705 during the Install method, after a successful Upload. The drivers I am attempting to install are the HP Universal Print Drivers from https://www8.hp.com/us/en/solutions/business-solutions/printingsolutions/upd.html<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww8.hp.com%2Fus%2Fen%2Fsolutions%2Fbusiness-solutions%2Fprintingsolutions%2Fupd.html&data=02%7C01%7Csrenaden%40microsoft.com%7C8d826d9d1dad4a5c787b08d627b56a41%7C72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7C1%7C0%7C636740057468579986&sdata=mbwErikIo4GiIC7XqL%2BTHedwCQPiXiC3d2lH9%2FjYg%2FQ%3D&reserved=0>

The input parameter pszInfPath is a valid path to the .inf file successfully uploaded to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\hpzius23.inf_amd64_e88cc3d9c18ba4d9\hpzius23.inf

I am attaching a packet capture from the windows side of the previously mentioned operations where the install fails.

I could not find the error 0x80070705 documented in the [MS-ERREF] documentation, I am getting this error returned when calling the [MS-PAR] method RpcAsyncInstallPrinterDriverFromPackage().

The event viewer logs an Error to the Print Service source with this error:
"Installing printer driver %name failed, error code 0x0, HRESULT 0x80070705. See the event user data for context information."

More information on this error along with an updated MS-ERREF would be appreciated.
