I use Bind on all DCs, never really had a problem with it. This means I 
don't know if you can use the internal dns on any other DCs, but I doubt 
it. Having said that, replication does replicate the dns records to any 
other DCs.
I just use DHCP on the first DC, I have tried to get failover working, 
but it fails for me :-D
