[Samba] samba-tool time

I think I found it:

I had the following global parameters set:
  server max protocol = SMB3
  server min protocol = SMB2
  client max protocol = SMB3
  client min protocol = SMB2

If I comment them out and restart samba, "samba-tool time" works without 
the need of attaching a username.
