Hi
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I tried that.
On the smb3 client, 192.168.1.10:
smbpasswd -r 192.168.1.3
<old and new passwords etc.>
machine 192.168.1.3 rejected the password change: Password restriction
On the Samba 4 server:
ldb_wrap open of secrets.ldb
Got NTLMSSP neg_flags=0x60088235
Got user=[steve5] domain=[] workstation=[HH6] len1=24 len2=122
auth_check_password_send: Checking password for unmapped user
[]\[steve5]@[HH6]
auth_check_password_send: mapped user is: [CACTUS]\[steve5]@[HH6]
NTLMSSP Sign/Seal - Initialising with flags:
Got NTLMSSP neg_flags=0x60088235
Terminating connection - 'NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED'
single_terminate: reason[NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED]
ipv4:192.168.1.10:43520 closed connection to service IPC$
Using lowercase, uppercase, numeric and non alphanumeric of at least 8
characters.
Any ideas?
Also, under XFCE, the screensaver will not accept the existing password
to unlock it. Ahhgghh!!
Thanks
