Hallo, Mat,

Du meintest am 16.01.11:

What tells

        testparm -s 2>/dev/null | grep passdb
testparm -sv 2>/dev/null | grep passdb

The first line tells what is defined in the "smb.conf", the second tells
all pre-defined options too.

Samba 3.5.6 uses "tdbsam", earlier versions have used "smbpasswd"; you
should look which file ("smbpasswd" or "passdb.tdb") your old version
has used.
For converting you can use "pdbedit".

Viele Gruesse!
Helmut
