[Samba] samba 3.2 and win98

Could this be due to the lanman auth being disabled by default with Samba
3.2?

$ testparm -v | grep -i lanman
...<snip>...

        lanman auth = No
        client lanman auth = No


I would try to set lanman auth = yes and retry.
