[Samba] Laptops randomly losing their domain credentials

I'm unclear.  Are the laptops running Linux or Windows?  

For the latter, I'm not sure of what influences how long the passwords
are cached locally, but Samba doesn't have nearly as much to do with it
in this case (it just sees the connected laptop, when it plugs back in).
