Even then. The point is that the file locking is vastly
different between posix and windows, and windows expects
that a file opened via node one sees the correct locking
info when also opened via another node.

That's what currently a lot of work is being done on.

No. There is the option "posix locking" but that is only
responsible to get it right between windows and unix
processes.
