[Samba] directory structure

Debian Etch with Samba 3.0.24 and slapd
I'm trying to get my head around how to set up the directory structure of
the files server and just looking to be pointed in the right direction.
Basically I'm trying to move the directory structure and setup the same
network shares and permissions from a novell server/suse-9.0 server.
I'm just not sure how to get the same from Samba. Basically a user has an S:
drive from the folder Shared in which they have access to their respective
folder based (as a subdirectory of Shared) upon group membership (ie. retail
or it) and the folder "everyone" (also a subdirectory of Shared):
So far I've setup up the Shared folder as a share in smb.conf I then tried
to chgrp on the respective folders according to their group (ie retail
directory owned by retail group) but can still access all the other
directories.

[shared]
   comment = Shared folder
   path = /data/Shared
   force group = users
   read only = no
   create mask = 0770
   directory mask =
   valid users = @admins, at users

ls -la /data/Shared/
total 32
