Hi!

I am unable to get SWAT to work. The browser (Firefox) error message is
shown in the subject of this email.

Here's what the various config files on my AIX system 4.3.3 running Samba
2.2.8.1 (downloaded from the Bull freeware site) look like :-

# cd /etc

# more services|grep 901

swat 901/tcp #Samba

# tail inetd.conf

#netbios-ssn stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/samba/bin/smbd
smbd

#netbios-ns dgram udp wait root /usr/local/samba/bin/nmbd
nmbd

swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /usr/local/bin/swat
swat

# netstat -an|grep 901

tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1.33037 127.0.0.1.901
CLOSE_WAIT

tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1.33036 127.0.0.1.901
CLOSE_WAIT

tcp4 0 0 *.901 *.* LISTEN

(The CLOSE_WAIT instances are when I tried to telnet to localhost on port
901 and got hung...)

What else should I check?

Please advise.

Thanks
