[Samba] Limit of group membership for a user?

I use Gentoo, kernel 2.6 on a amd64 architecture. Where I can find the 
'group limit' to be sure that the OS is not the problem.

If the limit is in the kernel code, the file 
|/usr/src/linux/include/linux/limits.h have a NGROUPS_MAX of 65536.

If you have other ideal, I will take it :-)
