[Samba] Public printing

In smb.conf-sample I read:

#====== Share  Definitions======

[printers]
   comment = All Printers
   path = /var/spool/samba
   browseable = no
# Set public = yes to allow user 'guest account' to print
   guest ok = no
   writable = no
   printable = yes

Which difference there is between
"public = yes" and "guest ok = yes"?
Is it necessary to write both there lines
to have a unlimited, public share
of printers?
