I have a linux machine (1.4GHz) which shares filesystems to two Windows
machines, (a) Windows 2000 (300MHz) and (b) Windows XP (2.4GHz).

The XP machine, which should be faster, is about 10 times slower than the 2000
machine.

Anybody any ideas.
