That's the sysinit script's problem. Not Samba's. Compile each samba
installation to use a different lock/pid/private/config directory.
Look at the 'interfaces' & 'bind interfaces only' options in
smb.conf(5).
Then have a start/stop script for each installation that just looks at
the pid file for its own smbd/nmbd process.
