[Samba] problem w. samba - "disk full" error

Hallo,
I've been googling for a while, but could not find any solution.

I have an old machine as a file server: P90/64Mb running debian 2.4.26 with samba 3.0.7. Few computers with WinXP are connected, usually just one at a time is running. 
The problem is when I copy bigger files (~100Mb) - sometimes it works OK, sometimes it crashes with a message (on client) "Delayed writing failed" or/and "Disk is full". On the server I can see nothing (in log files), except for it's frozen for a while (probably cleaning up?).
