Nope, no winbindd running here... (do i need too ??)

sorry indeed.. it look's like i tested it agains 3.0.2pre1 and NOT 3.0.2rc1..
i just installed rc1, and it looks fine.
the only problem i can see/find in our situation is that an other samba
server (2.2.2)
gives back an error he didn't had in the previous NT domain
-----
[2004/01/23 10:21:51, 0] lib/util_sock.c:matchname(973)
    host name/address mismatch: 192.168.2.227 != med-47.jordanet
[2004/01/23 10:21:51, 0] lib/util_sock.c:get_socket_name(1008)
    Matchname failed on med-47.jordanet 192.168.2.227

or sys_gethostbyname lookup failure (util_sock) & Hethostnyaddr failed for <IP>
and on the 303 rc1 version -> getpeername failed: error was transport
endpoint is not connected
----
on the 2.2.2 version i use smb.conf
security = server
password server = PDC (302rc1)
domain logons = no
preferred master = no
os level = 33
name resolve order bcast wins hosts
wins support = no
wins server = PDC (302rc1)
local master = no
domain master = no
-------------

med-47.jordanet is online and active, (can acces it from an other w2ksp4 ws)
the PDC with 302rc1 is configure as wins as well..

kind of worried about the resolving & other error's..
