Hi,
We tried to upgrade from samba 2.2.8 to 3.0 and got the following problem.
We have set samba to be the PDC of our domain (no BDC). And it works fine in
2.2.8
Upgrading to 3.0 using the same smbpasswd file and now when people try to
logon to the domain they get this error :

The Procedure Number is out of range

We have downgraded back to 2.2.8 until we can find a solution to this
problem. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Our global config for smb.conf is this :

[global]
        log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
        load printers = no
        smb passwd file = /usr/local/samba/smbpasswd
        name resolve order = wins lmhosts hosts bcast
        passwd chat = *New*password* %n\n *Retype*new*password* %n\n
*passwd:*all*authentication*tokens*updated*successfully*
        announce version = 6
        socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
        obey pam restrictions = yes
        logon drive =
        encrypt passwords = yes
        time server = Yes
        logon home =
        passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u
        wins support = true
        lock directory = /usr/local/samba
        dns proxy = no
        netbios name = psykose
        server string = Nybro's Domain/Mail Server
        printing = lprng
        logon script = logon.bat
        unix password sync = Yes
        logon path =
        domain master = yes
        preferred master = yes
        local master = yes
        workgroup = nybro
        os level = 99
        add user script = /usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g 100 -s
/bin/false -M %u
        printcap name = /etc/printcap
        security = domain
        domain logons = yes

Thanks
Thomas Hanson
