[Samba] Has anyone gotten winbind to work on Solaris 2.5.1?

I have been trying for several months and have not been able to get it to
work.  It seems that the /tmp/.winbind never gets created and winbind will
stop after it sends a request to port 445 on the wins server.  I have my
Solaris box set up as a domain memeber and am trying to use samba to share
out drives.  any help would be great.
