[Samba] Bundled Netscape DS 5.x schema in Samba3.0rc2

Hi All,

The bundled "samba-schema-netscapeds5.x" file provides the schema for Samba
2.2.x attributes not 3.x. I have successfully imported this schema into the
iPlanet directory server, and then run the smbldap-migrate-accounts.pl script.
This created posixAccount objects but not sambaAccount objects. I later learned
that the script calls smbldap-useradd.pl which is designed to create
sambaSAMAccount object for which I have no schema for.

I am in the middle of trying to convert the samba.schema file (found under the
examples/LDAP directory) to a format suitable for iPlanet DS 5.1 to use. These
are the changes I have applied so far:

* changed "objectclass" to "objectClasses:"
* changed "attributetype" to "attributeTypes:"
* added "X-ORIGIN 'user defined'" to the end of all attributeTypes and objectClasses
* removed line breaks

I need some help. I am currently getting the following error:

[08/Sep/2003:13:00:12 +1000] dse - The entry cn=schema in file
/usr/iplanet/ds5/slapd-mitosis/config/schema/99user.ldif is invalid, error code
21 (Invalid syntax) - attribute type sambaUserWorkstations: Missing attribute
syntax OID
[08/Sep/2003:13:00:12 +1000] dse - Please edit the file to correct the reported
problems and then restart the server

One thing I noticed is that there are references to sambaSAMAccount in the
smbldap-useradd.pl script whereas in the samba.schema file there are references
to sambaSamAccount. I am worried that this may cause havoc in future too. Is
LDAP cases sensistive? Which should it be?

Has anyone got an updated schema for iPlanet Directory Server 5.1?

Here's my start to the conversion. Any help greatly appreciated. Darren
