This sounds like a bug I found in a few Lexmark drivers when operating
in RAW mode.  Same bug occurred from win2k to win2k.  The client's spooler
tries to continually ask for the timestamp on the printer (change_id)
but never updates it's local cache.  I see a different driver fixed it
(in a later post) so i would guess it's probably anpther printer driver 
issue.
