[Samba] The account is not authorized to login from this station

I have a simple smb.conf file:

[global]
        hosts allow = ALL

        [tmp]
                user = root
                comment = temporary files 
                path = /tmp
                read only = yes
                root = amits



command:> net use f: \\smbserver\tmp <user>, <password>

error:>	System error 1240 has occured.
		The account is not authorized to login from this station


I could test everything else successfully from the diagnosis.txt file.
