nmbd/nmbd_browsesync.c:domain_master_node_status_fail(262)
domain_master_node_status_fail:
Doing a node status request to the domain master browser
for workgroup (DOMAIN) at IP (IP_OF_PDC) failed.
Cannot sync browser lists.

Pdc/wins server is a NT4 box

Samba samba-2.2.7a-1 on RH 7.2 (installed from samba's SRPMS), security
= server, using winbind, different subnet from pdc. Of interest in
smb.conf:

wins server = hostname_of_pdc (also a wins server).

preferred master = No
domain master = No

Testparm shows: local master = Yes and wins support = No

Authentication works, but when I go to add printers from windows
clients, for example, the samba server does not show up (nor any of its
shared printers).

Restarting nmbd does not help.
Restarting smbd/nmbd works, but eventually browse sync breaks again.

Please help, any ideas?
~ Daniel
