[Samba] Win NT PDC - Linux Client

Hi,
   First post here. I'm getting started on a personal mission to see if we
can eliminate our Win NT Workstations early next year. I'm just a day into
this, have managed to get some Samba stuff running between the Win ME and
Linux boxes, but not with Win NT yet.

   Can someone tell me the state of connecting a Linux Samba client to an
existing Win NT 4.0 Server that is both the PDC and a network file server? I
understood a couple of years ago that this was not supported. I'm hoping it
is now. If there are any sites that might cover this, please pass along a
pointer. I looked at samba.org but haven't found this yet. (Just getting
started going through the HOWTO.)

   I'm currently running Samba 2.2.3a (according to Swat)

   Also, I'm just a user type with an older copy of the Sams Samba book,
circa 1999. If this topic is well covered in the newer addition let me know
and I'll go get a copy today.
