I would not use any non alphabetic characters in your path names. Linux
can't handle the full array of characters in file names that windows can.
That might be a problem here. (This is a feature, not a bug.)

Often, this sort of problem is due to permissions. When you mounted your
windows share, are you sure you got past the security problems? I think
you'll have to log on as root user, (I guess they call it ADMIN in the
windows world, I just don't know).

I am not sure how things are handled "permissions wise" with any of the backup
commands when windows files are being transferred to samba.
