[Samba] incorrect password or unknown username

Greetings:

I have samba 2.2.0 running on Solaris 8 machine.

A user named John is loging into W2k pro and sees/access his shares on the samba 
server with no problems. While John is still logging into the W2k another user 
named Tim wants to access his shares on the samba server. He finds his shares 
but prompted with window asking for username & passwd. If he supplies them
he got a messages " incorrect password or unknown username". Please not the
two user have the same username/passwd on the server and the W2K machine, what 
seems the problem is? Please assist.
