Hello:
     u can disable this by selecting
     control panel -> folder option -> traditional style.
     windows 2000 default use "web style" folder list, and
     this works bad with samba :(
     hope samba can finally fix this, cause win2000 server
     works fine with "web style" win2000 clients.
