Hi, we currently operate a peer to peer network with many different workgroups.
We are quite happy with the way the setup performs,
but were wondering if there are advantages to be gained from implementing
a domain system which would be worth the hassle of changing our network

Could anyone point out the advantages of Domain vs peer network
and detail some of the problems with switching.
There seem to be many messages in the mailing lists about
problems with setting up / maintaining a domain.

Our environment involves at least 150 client machines running a mixture of
Windows NT, 2000 and XP. We have several file and print servers running
Samba 2.0.6 on Solaris 8.
We are upgrading to latest Samba and were wondering whether to go with
a domain while we are in the change process.

Any opinions / information is welcome

thanks

-pete.
